Pensions & Investments' WorldPensionSummit is once again honouring great initiatives and proven solutions in pensions with the 2021 Innovation Awards.

Difficult times requires out-of-the-box thinking and can inspire organisations to become creative solution finders. In these difficult and uncertain times we find that necessity is the origin of innovation. And we are convinced many innovative solutions have seen the light and possibly even have accelerated by the current economic situation we are facing following the COVID-19 pan-epidemic. We are therefor seeking pension funds who are using innovation to drive their pensions forward through investment, design, innovation, participation, communication or any way that may help drive successful outcomes for the plan participants.

We wish to highlight innovation and excellence and provide inspiration in Plan design, Investing, Technology and  Communication. Past winners were selected for their cutting-edge ideas and projects.

In order to find the best out-of-the-box thinkers and trailblazers in the business we must learn more about who, what, when and why this organization and their initiative deserves an Innovation Award. Entries are encouraged from organisations from around the world. The winners and runners-up will be announced and recognized at the Pensions & Investments WorldPensionSummmit, during the Innovation Awards Ceremony, to be held on 14 October 2021. Theme 2021: Powering the Change
In 2021, institutional investors are the new Masters of the Universe. With trillions of dollars, euros, renminbi and yen, institutional investors have amassed the financial power that can amplify their decisions. Rather than merely being the consumers of products, this group’s energy and influence can now impact society as a whole, helping to rebuild post-Covid-19 and work towards protecting the environment.

But this is not altruism. Along with their growing financial power, these increasingly sophisticated investors have also been formulating strategies and risk management tools that better align with their own needs to provide comfortable, enjoyable, dignified retirement for their members. There is also a growing recognition that there is more to providing this comfortable retirement than just offering a financial income. Today, institutional investors are leading their own charge, creating more relevant and resilient retirement systems that produce real-life, reliable outcomes.

Join peers from around the world to debate, discuss and design a future where institutional investors don’t just push for change, they make it happen. With topics spanning confrontation of the climate crisis, reconfiguring outcome-based retirement systems, increasing use of technology, aligning investment interests and making capital markets work for all – WorldPensionSummit will equip, inform and encourage you to power the change you want to see.

We look forward to you joining us in October!
